Lake Superior Socialist Action

Socialist Action Newspaper: We are the local distributors of Socialist Action newspaper, a national monthly socialist publication that has been published since 1983. Subscriptions are $5 a year (12 issues) for new subscribers, and only $8 for renewals. Single copies are only 50 cents. If you’d like to check out a copy you can get one at almost any public Socialist Action or Youth for Socialist Action meeting, as well as at Sunhillow Books and the Amazing Grace coffee house in Duluth, and the Black Cat coffee house in Ashland.

To purchase a subscription send a check made out to “Socialist Action”, along with the name and address to which you want the paper sent, to P.O. Box 16853, Duluth MN 55816.

Northwoods Activist: In addition to distributing Socialist Action newspaper, Lake Superior Socialist Action also has the Northwoods Activist email discussion list, and the associated Northwoods Activist printed newsletter. The email list, which you can join by clicking on the icon on the left hand menu bar of this page, is open to anyone who wants to discuss politics, activism and life in the region. We use it for sharing ideas, sending out announcements about upcoming events and planning campaigns.

The Northwoods Activist printed newsletter is a monthly newsletter meant to inform folks who are not on our email list about activist events and campaigns in the area. If can be picked up at the same places that Socialist Action newspaper is available, or by subscribing. Subscriptions are $6 a year. Send a check made out to “Socialist Action’ to P.O.
